Game artist & Graphic Designer
Personal work
My personal work mostly consists of character designs, environment art and movie/game studies.
2026
This year I experienced a lot of inspiration while living in the UK for 4 months. I got a lot of time to draw and explore my style further. I could find time to study lighting and shading more.
Other interesting discoveries are the way of using other tools. I started using Tomodachi life to create pixel style characters. I am so in love with this method of gaming and combining it with creativity. Together with the switch, I also started using Midjourney, not to make AI pictures, I would never want AI in my art. But to use it for concepting a illustration works out amazing! It helps with thinking of sketches and to come to a conclusion in the art piece. I still draw and paint but it helps as a tool to make a sketch of the idea you want.

2025
In April I decided to participate in Plain Air april. So I could study more environments and, so I can look back on memories/photos I made in the past year.
I also designed a character with a collegue on the way on a football trip to Split.
The last art piece is a study of a National Geographic photo. I designed the person in tje photo to look like a Egyptian goddess encouraging people to eat healthy during hot weather. I also tried to study some ancient writing for this as well.

2024
In 2024 I started working on finding different styles and skills I wanted to expand on. I started studying the style of Hades, Arcane and marvel Rivals to spice my style up a bit. to put a bit more life into it.

2023
One of my greatest passions is to combine my art with Egyptology, since I was a teen I loved how the artist Claire Hummel combined her reseach of ancient civilisations into her art. She is one of my greatest inspirations.
I also started experimenting with my style and made a few colored sketches that made me realize you don't need to take too long on coloring a art piece. It helped me see where the lighting needs to go and where the focus should be.
Abstract shapes and effects are also never ruled out.

2022
Once in a while, when I have time, I love to create random characters from a few pictures I find on the internet (like Pinterest). I eventually create my own inspiration. From this I learn to create shapes and materials.

This project was made for a school project, it helped me see what the progress is on making a game and which roles a artist could have in the game industry.
2021
During covid I had a huge amount of time to improve my style. I learned a lot and broadened my knowledge. During this time I had also done my internship through Ronimo games.
Luckily the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden was open during this year and I could get some fresh air by visiting and sketching at the museum.
What I am also passionate about is Star Wars. I love studying the style of the Clone Wars series. The material and colors make me think of my childhood.
I also created/studied sculptures from ancient civilisations mixed with fantasy elements.
